Coming along.

Slowly but surely, we’re checking off the things that need to get done before our move.  The past couple of days have been chaotic, yet satisfyingly productive. We have finally found a place to live, set a move date for the movers, and figured out what the girls and I will do for the 7-10 days that our belongings are en route to our new home.  Now, if only our house would sell…or just “show” for that matter!!

Last night, my brother and sister-in-law welcomed their third child (Kate Elisa Angelbeck) into the world. Irelynd and Haidyn are thrilled to have a new baby-girl cousin, and we all can’t wait to meet her very soon!!
Congratulations Kurt, Kara, MJ and Kristiana!!

No, we can’t cook your sister.

This morning as we were eating breakfast, Irelynd looked over at Haidyn and asked, “mommy, can you put Haidyn in a pot and cook her?”
Hmm…I think we’ll stop reading Hansel and Gretel for awhile.

Big news.

For those of you waiting to hear this exciting news….Irelynd finally pooped in the potty today! After four long days, it finally happened. She was so excited and proud of herself. She really enjoyed viewing her work…gross I know, but cute nonetheless.

Perfection in outward conduct consists not in extraordinary things; but in doing common things extraordinarily well. Neglect nothing; the most trivial action may be performed to ourselves, or performed to God. If love be in your heart, your whole life may be one continual exercise of it. Oh, if we did but love others! How easily the least thing, the shutting of a door gently, the walking softly, speaking low, not making a noise, or the choice of a seat, so as to leave the most convenient to others, might become occasions of its exercise.

I came across this, as I was browsing through the new releases of the week. Pretty cool. This isn’t a new release, but also very cool.
