I look at these two and can hardly believe Haidyn is almost one and Irelynd is almost three!  I want my babies back! :-(

Superdaddy.

Jon did an incredible job holding down the fort while I was gone.  Everyone was happy and healthy when I got home, and the house was just as I left it…spotless!

Forgive me if this day I have done or said anything to increase the pain of the world. Pardon the unkind word, the impatient gesture, the hard and selfish deed, the failure to show sympathy and kindly help where I had the opportunity, but missed it; and enable me so to live that I may daily do something to lessen the tide of human sorrow, and add to the sum of human happiness.

Hint, hint?

We decided after looking at numerous properties in CA, that it will be well worth it to trade square footage for the ability to walk to the beach. With that being said, I don’t think we are truly prepared to squeeze four people and two giant dogs into a 1,000 sq. foot bungalow. That may be why my husband sent me this article the other day.
I do believe it will be a challenge; but my game plan is simple and quite brilliant, I must say :-) We divide our current house imaginarily (is that a word?) in half. We put everything we “need” in one half, and the remainder in the other half. We then put the “need” section in the moving truck, and the remainder section we donate. Wah-lah…problem solved!
Thanks Jon for the article, but I’ve got this situation completely under control. :-)

Last night, some of our dear friends had little “Texas style” send-off for us. They really went all out and we had a wonderful time partying the Texas way! We have a ton of fun pictures that I will post later….but for now, I’ll let Jonathan entertain you :-)

Exhausted.

For a variety of reasons, we are all pretty much worn out down here in our little neck of the woods.
By the end of the day, this little one just wanted to lay her head wherever she could find a comfortable spot.  :-(

We have a crawler.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kari @ 6:33 pm
As of yesterday, Haidyn is officially crawling. She has been doing a scoot-crawl since she was about eight months, but until recently was not too interested in a full-crawl. Now I’m well aware that at eleven months most babies are walking…it’s just not the case with our girls. They both seemed to prefer the mommy-carry-me-everywhere method of getting around which may be part of the problem :-) Haidyn, though, is quickly realizing the independence she has when she crawls and reaches her desired location in record time.
