To listen for the footsteps of the divine Redeemer passing by us in the ordinary providences of life is a most important part of the probation of every man.

Yes that is lipstick on Irelynd…she came home from school yesterday with it on.  Not so funny for this mommy who doesn’t even own a tube of lipstick! :-)

Irelynd was trying to teach Haidyn how to crawl today.  She went to great lengths to show Haidyn all the steps and techniques of proper crawling.  Haidyn, as much as she wants to keep up with Irelynd, is just not into crawling.  Haidyn mentality: why crawl when mommy will carry me everywhere?  :-)

Until next time

As hard as we tried to get her to stay, Jen headed back home to Colorado today.  Irelynd didn’t quite buy Jen’s explanation that she had to get back to work.  How could any job be more important than reading a two-year-old books all day?!
Thank you, Jen, for a super fun weekend and for all your help…miss you already!!

As requested

Tonight, Jen and I enjoyed the two reasons I like Texas….the Pottery Barn/Williams Sonoma Outlet, and authentic German food at Oma’s Haus :-)

“Aunt Jen” arrived today…she’s happy to be somewhere warm, and I’m thrilled to have someone to help me entertain Irelynd for awhile (let’s just say it’s been a long week)!

For all you Croc-wearing folk

“We plan to essentially shoe the world” (Ron Snyder, Croc CEO)
A friend of mine informed me today about a cool new program called SolesUnited. Basically, you wear your Crocs until they “reach the end of their life” and then drop them off at a participating donation recycling center. The shoes are then ground up and recycled into brand new SolesUnited shoes that will be donated to those who need them most. There is a list of countries that are slotted to receive close to two million shoes in 2008 thanks to this program. Pretty cool if you ask me, and definitely worth checking out how to get involved. Make sure and watch the video while you’re at it. Inspiring!
